At Pelzer Fall Festival

The Piedmont Emergency Relief Center (P.E.R.C.) needs your help! Food resources have been seriously depleted at a time when the need for items rises. PERC will be collecting food items at the Fall Festival this Saturday in the Pelzer Monkey Park.

“P.E.R.C. now needs your help! After a long summer when the donations are down and the need rises—students are at home, many who receive free and reduced lunches—our food resources have been seriously depleted. Come by our display and help us out!”, Director Ingrid Hollis said.

The Piedmont Emergency Relief Center has been helping individuals in area communities since 2005. Their service area includes Pelzer, Piedmont, Powdersville, and Williamston. They also assists residents of Easley (29642) and Greenville (29611).

“We do try to help anyone that requests assistance,” Hollis said. “We rely on donations of food and money from individuals, churches, schools, civic groups, and local businesses. Donate a can or two of food. Or donate a dollar or two! The very person you help feed may even be your neighbor!”
