West Allen Williams Old Time Musical Festival

The Palmetto Area Cultural Arts Center (PACAC) will be open to the public this Saturday for the first annual West Allen Williams Old Time Musical Festival being held in association with the Homestead Festival. From 10 am to 4:30 pm, the public will be able to visit the Artory and interact with musicians and artists showcasing skills from the late 1800s.

“We will be celebrating the music and culture of our town’s founder, West Allen Williams,” said Thomas Addison, Visual Arts Director. “We have a new stage at the Artory where the musicians will perform.”

Old Time Music Schedule

Scheduled to perform on the All About Fabrics stage at the Artory are:

Tabernacle Joy Players – 10 am to 10:30 am

Big Spike Hammer – 10:30 am to 11:20 am

Whitten City Bulletin – 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Lena Davis and the Community Workshop Choir – 1 pm to 2 pm

19th Century Dance Demonstration – 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Palmetto Strings Students – 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

PACAC Demonstrations

Other demonstrations through the day at the PACAC include: Williamston Chalybeate Spring Glazed Pottery, basket weaving, silhouettes, topsy-turvies, and Joel Yates Photographs and Impressionism Exhibit.
