Police recover $3000 item stolen in 2011

Williamston Police Officers recently recovered a stolen item valued at $3000 after the victim saw the item listed on popular online classified site Craigslist. The Road Ready Coffin dual turn table CD player, used in a DJ businesss, was stolen from a 2002 Cadillac Escalade in Williamston in October of 2011. According to Williamston Police Captain Kevin Marsee, the victim, Ernesto Ricardo Zapata saw the items on Craigslist and notified the Williamston Police Department. The incident remains under investigation.

Williamston Police Officers also investigated the following incidents:

Sept. 26 – Officers investigated an incident of shots fired in the area of E. Carolina St. According to witnesses, the shots were fired at the stop sign at the end of E. Carolina and Bigby Streets. Four spent casings and one live round were recovered in the parking area of the apartments. J. B. Sanders investigated.

Sept. 26 – Kaleigh Michelle Smith, 23, 788 Holland Ford Rd., Pelzer reported a white HTC smart phone valued at $60 taken from her car while in the drive-thru at McDonalds, 4 W. Main St. The incident remains under investigation. G. Cremer investigated.

Sept. 28 – Brandon Nicholas Barrett, 28, 8 Stewart St., Pelzer was arrested for CDV and disorderly conduct after officers responded to 321 Hamilton St., in reference to a domestic situation with shot fired. R. Drennon investigated.

Sept. 29 -Charles Carey, 72, 9 Saluda Rd,. Williamston reported ten double paned windows valued at $1000 stolen from the side yard of the residence. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Oct. 1 – Fast Fuel, 207 W. Main St., Williamston reported a shoplifting incident in which a man stole a pair of sun glasses valued at $11. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Oct. 1 – Arlene Jeanette Rivella, 812 Tripp St., Williamston reported jewelry valued at $1326 taken from the home. Missing items include a yellow heart necklace with ruby, yellow flower necklace with ruby, yellow heart necklace, single ruby necklace, male wedding band with diamond and emerlad size 8, tennis bracelet with with saphire and diamonds and nuerous half dollars and silver dollars. The incident remains under investigation. G. Cremer investigated.

Sept. 30 – Nicole Catherine Gable, 35, 128 Parker St., Williamston reported a red 3 gallon gas can valued at $10 missing Capt. K. Marsee investigated.

Oct. 2 – Jennifer Bice, 30, 132 Vista Circle Easley and Cameron Hall, were placed on trespass notice for Fast Fuel, 207 W. Main St., after a disturbance in which Bice stated she had paid for a pair of sunglasses two weeks ago and was at the store to pick them up. Upon investigation, the car they were in had an improper tag. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Oct. 4 – Nathanel Croft, 60, 2A Black St., Williamston reported someone forced entry into his residence by prying open the front door. Items missing inlcuded a Sony TV $75, stereo $100, $163 in cash. C. Bragg investigated.

Oct. 4 – Jennifer Dawn Gosnell, 38, 19 Parker St., Williamston reported a Kindle valued at $200 stolen from the residence. The item was later returned by the suspect’s stepfather. The incident was to be presented to a judge after Gosnell stated she wanted to press charges. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Oct. 3 – Fast Fuel, 207 W. Main St. Williamston reported someone attempted to use a stolen credit card. The card was place into evidence by officers. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.
