The 58th annual Tigerama Homecoming Pep Rally Friday night will kick off the weekend’s 100th anniversary Homecoming celebration. Tigerama is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum. It will be preceded by the family-friendly Tigerama Tailgate at 5 p.m. on the Littlejohn Coliseum lawn. Visitors will be able to get autographs from Clemson athletes, hear live music and kids can play games.

“I’m especially excited for this year’s Tigerama as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of homecoming at Clemson,” said Seth Rhoden, assistant Tigerama director. “This is always a special time as we get to remember and honor our past, as well as celebrate what’s to come.”

There will be live streaming video of Tigerama online at the new ClemsonTV web portal, which launches Friday. The ClemsonTV link will be posted at www.clemson.edu.

Television host, journalist and Clemson alumna Nancy O’Dell will be the emcee for Tigerama, which will include appearances from the Tiger Band, cheerleaders, Rally Cats, the football team, Top 10 Miss Homecoming contestants, the Pershing Rifles and several student organizations. Col. Ben Skardon, Miss South Carolina Lanie Hudson and former Clemson football coach Danny Ford will make guest appearances.

There will be a fireworks show that can be viewed from the lawn of Littlejohn immediately following Tigerama. In recognition of the Homecoming centennial, the display will feature new, never-before-seen fireworks.

The theme for this year’s Tigerama is “Hear Our Roar: Changing the World One Tiger at a Time.”

“From the depths of Death Valley to the ends of the world, Clemson Tigers are leaving their mark,” said Tigerama Director Ali Fehling. “On our 100th anniversary of homecoming, we will honor our distinguished military history, celebrate our present and pay it forward for a brighter future.”

Tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster for $10. Tickets can also be purchased at Mr. Knickerbocker’s, Judge Keller’s, Allen’s Creations, the Hendrix Student Center Box Office or from any Blue Key member. Tickets may also be purchased the night of the show at the Littlejohn Coliseum box offices.

Tigerama is hosted by the Blue Key Honor Society and the proceeds go toward the Blue Key Tigerama Scholarship Fund.

Customers who show their Tigerama tickets at TD’s, TCBY, Chipotle and Jersey Mike’s can get discounts through Saturday. For more information, visit the Tigerama website.
