Williamston firefighters work at the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident early Friday morning on Anderson Drive near the intersection of Walton Drive. A forty-nine year old Anderson man had left his mothers house in Williamston prior to being struck by two vehicles. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident along with the SC Highway Patrol MAIT team and Williamston police department. Williamston Emergency Medical Services also responded. The accident happened around 2 am and Anderson Drive was closed for more than four hours as the MAIT team did their investigation. (Photo by David Rogers)
