The Anderson Sports & Entertainment Center has earned the designation, “Southern Region” Complex of the Year by the Independent Sports Association during their annual conference. The award was presented to ASEC staff by Southern Region Vice President Mike Caldwell during the annual ISA Convention in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Scott Pittman, ISA State Director nominated the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Complex for the prestigious award, “because of the commitment demonstrated by the complex and its staff. ASEC staff consistently works with the association to give teams the best place possible to play ball. If ever the tournament director needed assistance, the staff was quick to reply / help. I would just like to say thank you to Anderson Sports and Entertainment Complex, Todd McCormick, and all of the other staff members for a great year. We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming 2015 season.”

“The Anderson County Sports & Entertainment Complex has certainly gained national attention with this award,” said Anderson County Council Chairman Tommy Dunn. “Earning this title demonstrates our county’s commitment to recreation and to maintaining a high quality of life for all. Of course, this would not be possible without our dedicated staff, who look beyond individual events and strive to make every athlete, every coach and every spectator feel welcome and appreciated.”

ASEC staff will be honored with a resolution during the January 6 County Council meeting.
