Williamston police officers investigated thefts, vandalism and drug related incidents. Among incidents investigated recently were:

Jan. 20 – Amanda Louree Reeves, 36, 211 Williamston Court, reported someone put sugar in the gas tank of her 2001 Honda Civic. S. N. Robison investigated.

Jan. 20 – Terri Lynne Owens, 44, 807 Cheddar Rd., Williamston reported two fraudulent transactions amounting to $504 on a stolen bank card. G. Cremer investigated.

Jan. 21 – Cathy Cannon, Palmetto Baptist Association, 3 Middleton Blvd., reported food items valued at $75 taken from a storage room of Operation Care. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Jan. 21 – Timothy Lee Farmer, 57, 716 S. Academy St,. Williamston reported a tag valued at $25 stolen from a Beech Springs Tabernacle church bus. R. Drennon investigated.

Jan. 23 – Complete Healing and Wellness Center reported that a patient became irate and began using profanity and caused $120 in damage to the front door. S. N. Robison is investigating.

Jan. 23 – Norman Eugene Williams, 52, 657 Lindley Rd., Piedmont was arrested for driving under the influence after a white sedan was observed half in the road and half in the ditch on Tripp St., just prior to the railroad crossing. According to reports, the vehicle had substantial damage to the front end and it appeared it had struck the train at the railroad crossing at Tripp St. K. S. Looney, M. E. Simmons investigated.

Jan. 28 – Matthew Brennen Davis, 25, 305 Mauldin St., Williamston was arrested for driving under suspension after being observed in a green Ford Focus on South Hamilton St. G. Cremer investigated.

Jan. 28 – Austin Leneer Mosley, 21, 310 E. Carolina St., Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after officers observed Mosley walking at the intersection of Jehue and E. Carolina. Officers were aware that Mosley had two active warrants. While being arrested, officers found a clear plaztic baggy with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana in Mosley’s pocket. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Jan. 29 – Zagarion Zavion Brown, 19, 104 Wateree Ln., Williamston was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed (46/35) and only one working headlight. The driver was issued a ticket for the traffic offense. Brown, a passenger in the vehicle was arrested for possession after a white plastic baggie with 15 oval white pills identified at Tramadol (pain pills)and a pill bottle with 49 yellow oval pills identified as Moxicam (muscle relaxer) was found in the floorboard. Modern Supply, 8 E. Main St. Williamston reported tools valued at $860 taken from the front seat of a truck parked in front of the store. G. Cremer investigated.

Jan. 30 – Shannon Creamer Hall, 49, 217 Waterfront Dr., Williamston reported a utility trailer valued at $700 stolen from the residence. A lock on a gate and a link on a security chain securing the trailer had been cut. J. Taylor investigated.

Jan. 31 – Harvey Roundtree, 44, 107 Williamston Ct., Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench warrant through family court after being observed at the car wash on E. Main St. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Jan. 31 – Joshua Daniel Estep, 27, 121 Middleton Blvd., Williamston was arrested for providing false information to a police officer after officers were dispatched to 103 Middleton. J. Taylor, M. E. Simmons investigated.

Feb. 1 – Jeffrey Scot Owens, 44, 1003 Beaver Trail, Anderson was arrested for outstanding warrant with Anderson County after a Chevrolet truck was observed on East Main with only one functioning brake light. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Feb. 1 – Larry Lee Edmonds, 51, 12 E 1st St., Williamston was issued a summons for a dog running at large after officers were dispatched to 8 E. 1st Street in reference to a civil distrubance between dog owners. According to reports, a small dog belonging to Janice Juanita Reece of 8 E. 1st St. was attacked by a larger mixed breed dog belonging to Edmonds. Officers observed both dogs had blood on them. Edmonds’ animal was picked up by animal control until a judge could adjudicate the incident. J. Taylor investigated.
