While roads remained hazardous Tuesday, sidewalks were worse. Williamston’s East Main Street with icicles hanging from awnings and ice covered sidewalks. Most area businesses, government offices and schools were closed Tuesday due to the winter weather that passed through the area overnight. Some area residents experienced power outages with reports of outages in the West Pelzer and Belton area.
