Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents:

EASLEY

Feb. 13 – S.D. Cole responded to the WalMart at 11410 Anderson Rd, where the asset protection officer for the store reported that Travis McNeely, WM, 26, 5’9”, 187 pounds, blond/hazel attempted to leave the store with merchandise he had not paid for. McNeely was arrested and taken to ACDC.

Feb. 13 – D.J. Petit was dispatched to 108 Henderson Rd. where Rodger Beckett reported that someone had broken into his home and stolen a television and jewelry valued at $1200.

Feb. 13 – B.C. Scroggs received a complaint at the ACSO headquarters from John Ely, of 206 Cooper Lane. Ely reported that two vehicles had entered his business parking lot at All Waste, Inc. and driven recklessly, damaging the lot to the tune of $500.

Feb. 13 – M.T. Brooks responded to 102 Cascade court where Willie Mae Ledford stated that someone had stolen her debit card and used it several times.

PELZER

Feb. 14 – D.J. Petit was dispatched to 364 Ballard Rd. where Michael Holbrook reported the theft of his red Chevy Silverado truck, valued at $4000. On the same day J.M. Pelfrey responded to 348 Ballard Rd. where Edward Beard, Jr. reported that someone had entered his vehicle and stole various items valued at $1555.

PIEDMONT

Feb. 13 – A.C. Guthrie responded to 908 Anderson St. to the Fred’s Store, where an employee reported that a black male had entered the store and made purchases with two one hundred dollar bills which proved to be counterfeit.

Feb. 14 – J.L Martin was dispatched to 1004 Hwy. 86 to the Sav-Way store where the manager reported that a white male in a blue dually truck drove off without paying for $74 worth of gas.

Feb. 16 – J.M. Culbertson and D.J. Petit responded to 191 Hollywood Dr., where Nathan Taylor reported someone had broken into his car and stolen a motion sensor valued at $30.

WILLIAMSTON

Feb. 13 – B.C. Scroggs received a telephone report from Chad Stroud of 219 Mahaffey Rd. that someone had stolen his black Kawasaki Bayou 300 ATV, valued at $1500.

Feb. 14 – B.C. Johnson received a telephone report from Margaret Clardy, of 102 Pamela Dr. that someone had stolen her license plate, SC tag # BIR 882.
