HAROLD KEELER

Harold “Sonny” Daniel Keeler, 65, of Williamston, died Friday, February 13, 2015.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James Harold and Mary Sally Alewine Keeler.  He was formerly employed at Affordable Fire Protection and attended Macedonia Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Daniel Keeler of Dallas, Texas, James Keeler of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Susan Keeler Hart of Williamston; sisters, Jimmie Wallace, Mildred Ramsey, Annette Keeler, all of Williamston; brother, William Pete Keeler of Belton; six grandchildren and  three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, February 17, in the Gray Mortuary chapel.

ELIZABETH ANN OWENS

Elizabeth Ann Owens, 71, of Anderson, widow of William Robert “Bobby” Owens, died Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born April 18, 1943, she was the daughter of Dora Elizabeth “Lib” Owens and the late Earl Owens. She was a homemaker and a member of Six and Twenty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Michael Owens of Pendleton, Dana Cooley of Pelzer, David Owens of Liberty and Nancy Owens of Pendleton; six grandchildren; mother, Lib Owens of Williamston; brother, Sonny Owens of Williamston; and two sisters, Mary Faye Pate  of Iva and Lynn Golden of Williamston.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday at Six and Twenty Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is at her residence.

PAULETTE HAGOOD

Paulette Hagood of Williamston died on Sunday, February 15, 2015.

A day of celebration will be announced at a later date. Family members will be gathering at 104 Vesper Drive, Anderson.

BECKY STRICKLAND

PIEDMONT – Rebecca “Becky” McClellan Strickland, 58, widow of Keith Strickland, died Thursday, February 12, 2015.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Ruby Simpson McClellan and was employed with Fort Hill Natural Gas Authority.

Becky is survived by her son, Dwayne Strickland (Evelyn) of the home; sisters, Kathy Kay (David) of West Pelzer and Pat Bolt of Catawba; brother and sister-in-law, Bradley and Louise Wallace of Piedmont.

Visitation was from 1:00 – 3:00 pm Saturday, February 14 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The service followed at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Wallace, 14 Piedmont Ave. Ext., Piedmont, SC 29673.

WALTER E. HENDERSON

Walter E. Henderson, 78, of Greenville, died Monday, February 9, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late robert and Irene Sullivan Henderson.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Henderson; daughter, Gisele Ferguson of Mauldin; son, Dwayne Henderson of Simpsonville; sisters, Margaret Sloan, Macy Byrd, Juliette Aiken, and Shelve Parlow, all of Greenville; brothers, Frank Henderson of Greenville, Robert Henderson of Pelzer, Lester Henderson and Perry Henderson, both of Greenville; and three grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 14 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

REV. GEORGE GARRISON

A celebration of life service to recognize Rev. George U. Garrison was held on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston.

He was the son of the late AC and Pearl Garrison.

He was a World War II veteran.

He is survived by his children, Ellen of Toledo, OH, David of Atlanta, GA, Charles of Mauldin, Rev. John of Belton, Rev. Christopher of Fayetteville, NC, and Rev. Hattie Gambrell of Williamston; several grandchildren; sister, Mattie Ruth McAlister of Toledo, OH; and a brother, Asbury of Inster, MI.

He was predeceased by his wife, Hattie Mae Garrison.

ANNETTE COPPAGE

Claudia Annette Pressley Coppage, 71, wife of Henry Pearson Coppage, died Saturday, February 14, 2015.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Pressley and the late Geraldine Pressley Allen.

She was a member of High Praises Church and retired from First Citizens Bank.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Cody Vaughn of Florida and Ryan Coppage of Anderson; daughters, Lisa Rapien of Williamston, Dina Taylor of Anderson, and Kendal Bennett of Anderson; sister, Mary Bauer of Simpsonville; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 18 in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

SHIRLEY COLEMAN

The Unity Mortuary announces a celebration of life service was held for Ms. Shirley Ann Coleman on Sunday, February 15, 2015.

She is survived by her three sons, Christopher, Tralum and Octavius Coleman; life partner, Michael Elrod; one sister, Deloris Sullivan; and one brother, Cephas Coleman.

She was the daughter of the late Matthew Cephas and Betty McCullough Coleman.

BEULAH GEISELMAN MORGAN

Beulah Geiselman Morgan, 91, wife of the late Robert Morgan, of Piedmont, died Saturday, February 14, 2015.

Surviving is a son, Jonathan Morgan of Texas; and a sister, Marge Geiselman of Maryland.

ADDIE MAE HUBBARD MCLESKEY

Addie Mae Hubbard McLeskey, 95, of Anderson, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Fellowship Health and Rehab.

Born in Winders, GA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Hubbard and the late Cora Chastain Hubbard. She retired from textiles and was a member of Orrville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, J.H. “Mac” McLeskey of Anderson, James Lee McLeskey of Gainesville, FL, and Rebecca Carter of Piedmont; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harrison T. McLeskey.

Funeral service was held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 14. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

ELEANOR JANE MANFREDI PAYNE

Eleanor Jane Manfredi Payne, 72, of Williamston, died Sunday, February 8, 2015.

Born in Plymouth, MA, she was a daughter of the late Otello and Alice Sears Manfredi.

She retired from the City of Belton.

She is survived by a daughter, Robin Roach; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 14 at Cannon Funeral Home Chapel.

EDNA J. BAGWELL

Edna Jameson Bagwell, 85, of Piedmont, wife of the late Alvin I.V. Bagwell, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her home.

Born in Liberty, she was a daughter of the late Walter John and Vivian Baugh Jameson.

She retired from Wren High School and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Mike Bagwell of Piedmont; two brothers, Ross Jameson of Liberty and Madison Jameson of Easley; two sisters, Camilla Riddle of Greenwood and Orene Brinson of Anderson; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

IRMA ROPER

Irma Kelley Roper, 79, of Piedmont, widow of Barney Joe Roper, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015.

Born in Santa Fe, TN, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Judy Sullivan Kelley.  She was retired from Anderson School District One and a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are children, Susan Roper, Kelley Roper, Mark Roper, all of Piedmont; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Saturday in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.  Burial followed at Shiloh United Methodist Church cemetery.

HAZEL HOLLINGSWORTH

Hazel Doris Moore Hollingsworth, 89, of Piedmont, widow of Walter E. Hollingsworth, died February 10, 2015.

She was a daughter of the late Adam “Babe” and Leila Norris Moore. She retired from Abney/Brandon Mills and was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter, Brenda “Ann” Hollingsworth; son, Tony W. Hollingsworth; brother, Lindy Moore; and one granddaughter, all of Piedmont.

A graveside service was held Friday, February 13, in the Rehoboth Baptist Church cemetery.
