Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following:

PELZER

Feb. 28 – J. Glenn responded to 29 Smythe St. where Karen Mahon reported that someone had entered her father’s house while he was hospitalized. A second story window had been forced open.

March 2 – J.M. Pelfrey responded to 17 Lopez St. where Bruce Anthony reported the theft of his 1993 blue Chevy S-10 truck, valued at $2500.

PIEDMONT

Feb. 27 – J.R. Richey responded to 405 Iler St. where Jimmy Nelson reported that his stepson had come to his home at 3:30 in the morning, demanding to be let in. He refused and he said his stepson kicked the front door, damaging the door and the trim. The cost was estimated at $500.

Feb. 27 – J.M. Pelfrey was dispatched to the SavWay store on Highway 86 where a store employee reported that a slender white male, about five foot five, wearing gray sweats, had robbed her at gunpoint .

Feb. 28 – J.K. Vickery and J.E. Scott responded to 212 Drewmar Lane where Tara Hermans reported that two friends of her son whom she had let stay at her house to get out of the cold, had stolen her safe and a laptop. The safe contained valuables of more than $10,000 value. West Pelzer Police Chief Mike Clardy contacted her and reported that during a traffic stop of Devin Hawkins, WM, 17, 5’8”, 125 pounds, of Piedmont, and Jamie Eaton, WM, 34, 5’8”, 180 pounds, his officers had recovered a good bit of her property.

Feb. 28 – J.M. Pelfrey was dispatched to 1025 Westwood Dr. where Amanda Corrow reported the theft of several items from her car, with a value of $524.

Feb. 28 – J.M. Pelfrey responded to 400 Wood Field Dr. where Ira Kennan Jr, , WM, 73, reported that his son, name and description withheld, had assaulted him during an argument.

WILLIAMSTON

March 1 – B.C. Johnson responded to 314 Mahaffey Rd. where Shann Oglesby was leaving the scene in an ambulance. Nathan Roach said he saw Oglesby and his girlfriend, name and description withheld, fighting, when name and description withheld got in her car and ran over him.

March 1 – A.F. Acevedos responded to 116 Cedar Glen Rd. where Quentin Wright stated that he was at that address visiting Yolanda Hill, BF, 38 when her husband, Dantrail Smith came home and a fight between the couple ensued. Hill would not cooperate but due to visible injuries and the witness testimony, Smith was arrested for CDV and transported to ACDC.

EASLEY

Feb. 27 – J.M. Culbertson was dispatched to 149 Norwood Dr. where Amanda Keith and Vickie Baker reported that someone had entered both their cars overnight. Keith lost a HiPoint handgun valued at $200.

March 1 – D.J. Petit responded to 106 Ragsdale Dr. where Jimmy Porter stated that someone had stolen his 54” cut John Deere lawn tractor, valued at $4000.
