Sheriff’s Foundation golf tournament May 12

Anderson County Sheriff John Skipper announced this week that the 6th Annual Anderson County Sheriff’s Foundation Invitational Golf Tournament has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 12.

The event will be held at Brookstone Meadows Golf Club, 100 River Club Drive in Anderson. Registration begins at 8 am. Chick-fil-A of Anderson will provide biscuits, coffee and juice. The Shotgun Start is scheduled for 9 am.

Entry fees are $100 per person or $400 per team. Hole-sponsorships (with signage on course) are available for $150 each. The cost includes green fees, a golf cart, soft drinks by Pepsi of Anderson, sandwiches on the course, breakfast by Chick-fil-A, and the Awards Luncheon Banquet provided by Outback Steak House.

There will be Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Hole-in-One competitions on the course, along with raffle items after the tournament. And, a “thank you” gift will be provided to each participating golfer.

Sheriff Skipper said, “Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Sheriff’s Foundation which was established in order to provide educational scholarships, training and equipment to our employees. The foundation’s goal is to equip individuals with the necessary skills and tools to help them solve the problems facing our community.”
