Following a Sunday morning incident, which resulted in a temporary custody order being used to hold Raeford Derrane Wideman overnight while an investigation proceeded, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office investigators have formally charged him with the murder of Ryan O’Neil Tatum.
Tatum was shot with a 9 mm handgun at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 15 at the South McDuffie Trailer Park in Anderson. Wideman, BM, 26, 5’7”, 200 pounds, was placed into the temporary custody while investigators continued their inquiries. Several witnesses to the shooting identified Wideman as the shooter, and he eventually admitted his role in the shooting death.
He is currently being held at ACDC. He is charged with murder and no bond has been set.
