Anderson County Sheriff’s investigators have arrested Brian Alan Orr of Belton in connection with a shooting incident on Breazeale Street in Belton last week. According to arrest warrants, Orr attempted to kill Dallas Franklin Johnson by shooting into Johnson’s passing Ford F250 pickup with a sawed-off shotgun.

Johnson was wounded in the hand but was able to drive himself to the Belton City Police Department to report the incident and obtain help. After speaking with officers, he was transported to Anderson Hospital by Belton EMS personnel.

Orr and Johnson know each other only as acquaintances but their dispute is believed to be over their relationship with an uninvolved female.

Orr was taken into custody late Friday afternoon and transported to the Anderson County Detention Center. He has been charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and the possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

His bond was set at $30,000; he currently remains in custody.
