Auditions for parts for the Mill Town Players production of Grease will be held this Sat, May 2, at 12 noon. at the Pelzer Auditorium, 214 Lebby St. in Pelzer. Callbacks will be held Mon, May 4, at 6pm.
Grease showings will run weekends July 17-August 8, at the Pelzer Auditorium. Director is Will Ragland, Musical Director Josh Morton and Choreographer Kimberlee Ferreira. Anticipated cast size is 25-30.
For this production the Mill Town Players will need ages teen to adult for all roles with strong vocal, dance, and acting skills.
Roles include: Adult Women Miss Lynch
Teen & Adult Women Sandy, Rizzo, Jan, Frenchy, Marty, Patty, Cha-Cha, Pink Ladies; Adult Men – Vince Fontaine; Teen & Adult Men – Danny, Kenickie, Roger, Doody, Sonny, Eugene, Johnny Casino; Teen – Angel, T-Birds.
Those auditioning should be prepared to read from selections of the script, sing, and dance. Please dress accordingly and be prepared to move. Please also prepare one of the following:
Men: Verse 1 and Chorus of “Greased Lightnin” OR Verse 1 (not intro) of “Beauty School Drop Out”
Women: Verse 1 of “Freddy My Love” OR Verse 1 of “There Are Worse Things I Could Do”
Please bring your schedule to fill in all potential rehearsal conflicts on the back of the audition form – conflicts may not be added after casting. Please also bring a non-returnable photo and resume or list of experience.
Anticipated rehearsal schedule: Orientation/Read thru will be Tuesday, May 12 from 6:30-9:30pm. Rehearsals will usually take place 6:30-9:30pm on weeknights. Not every character will be called to every rehearsal.
