A two story brick home was apparently struck by lightning on Wednesday evening as a powerful thunderstorm moved through the area. Lightning apparently ran the ridge line of the roof before being conducted by a nail. The rafter that the nail was in was discovered burring. The fire did minimal damage to the Clock Tower Court home and firefighters from Whitefield and Hopewell checked the home for any fire extension. (Photo by David Rogers)
