An email from Michigan authorities sent to Sheriff John Skipper early Saturday morning indicated that Campbell was wanted by Ottawa County, Michigan and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office had authorized a nationwide extradition…meaning the agency would extradite Campbell from wherever he was located in the United States.

The email also specified that the agency’s last known address for Campbell was on Highway 29 North in Pelzer.

By 2pm on Saturday, Campbell was in custody. Members of the Sheriff’s CATCH Team located the subject at his home and he was taken into custody without incident.

Campbell is currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center on a fugitive from justice warrant, which is non-bondable. He will be held until Michigan authorities arrange for his return to Ottawa County to answer charges involving felony child neglect.

Sheriff Skipper said, “We often receive similar requests to assist out of state agencies and we do what we can, as quickly as possible, to locate and apprehend felons who may be in our jurisdiction.”
