Piedmont firefighters wait on state troopers on Wednesday evening after a vehicle crashed into the side of a barber shop in Piedmont. The driver then left on foot. The barber had left less than ten minutes before the accident but returned to see what had happened. He said that he had just walked to his car where the vehicle had left the road and traveled across the barber shop yard. Had he been just a few minutes later he said he or his car may have been struck. The wreck happened on Piedmont Highway in the Grove Station community. (Photo by David Rogers)
