Williamston Police Report

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents during the first week of January:

Jan. 1 – House of Pizza, 14 N. Hamilton St., Williamston reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill. The incident remains under investigation. G. Cremer investigated.

Jan. 5 – Tywana Monique Dobson, 22, 6 Watts Ave., Greenville was arrested for shoplifting and driving under suspension after a shoplifting incident at Dollar General, 26 West Main St., Williamston. According to reports two black females ran from the store with merchandise valued at $280.19 which they did not purchase. Reports state they left in a black car with a temporary dealer tag.

The vehicle was observed and stopped at Morrings Drive in Williamston. A yellow basket with items was found in the vehicle. A person identified as Cynthia Denise Hawkins was also charged in connection with the shoplifting incident. Both were issued UTT and transported to ACDC without incident. A third female in the vehicle was not charged. M. E. Simmons, M. Beeman investigated.

Jan. 6 – Michael Earl Browning, 55, 102 Lander St,. Williamston was arrested for domestic violence after a 911 hangup call. Reports state even though there was no intention of harm to Angela Browning and she did not fear for her safety, Judge Lollis proceeded with charges. Browning was arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Jan. 7 – Michael Wayne Sammons, 43, 116 Sterling Dr., Anderson reported a motorcycle valued at $2000 stolen from a building at 110 Davis St. The motorcycle was blue with orange rims. A red and gray helmet valued at $175 was also missing. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Jan. 7 – Denardis Jamont Kilgo, 35, 101 Crawford St., Williamston reported the homeowner at 108L St., Williamston had someone claim to be a police officer threaten him. According to reports a female who said she worked for the FBI and a male driving a Crown Victoria approached him while he was working on his moped in his back yard and intimidated him. T. L. Jan. 8 – Yolanda Doreen Smith, 52, 117 Radcliffe Way, Anderson reported a Bank of America debit card stolen and used at 15 different locations resulting in charges amounting to $1240.35. S. N. Robison investigated.

Jan. 8 – Sherri Bigsby, 28, 129 Alvins Lane, Belton reported a vehicle valued at $1225 stolen from the parking lot at 526 West Main in Williamston. According to reports the keys were under the front seat and the vehicle was left unlocked. M. Beeman investigated.

Jan. 9 – Charles Harris, 50, 112 Sue Ella Court Townville reported a concrete bench placed on hjis daughters grave at the Williamston cemetery missing. the bench was valued at $50. M. Beeman investigated.

Jan. 11 – Constance Florentino, 58, 584 E. Dorchester Rd., Belton reported a granite flower vase was stolen from a grave in the Williamston cemetery. The item was valued at $100. Class 3 B. Peterson investigated.
