Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
Feb. 2 – Cody Douglas Poore, 29, 7 E 1st St,. Williamston was arrested for reckless driving, license plate altered and no drivers license after officers responded to a vehicle accident on Mahaffey St. in which a green Ford truck had left the roadway striking a brick wall at 3 Mahaffey St. Damage to the wall was estimated at $1,000. He was transported to ACDC. C. Green investigated.
Jan. 16 – Denardis Jamont Kilgo, 35, 101 Crawford St,. Williamston was arrested for two outstanding bench warrants for shoplifting and possession of marijuana. He was served with the warrants at the ACDC where he was in custody. K. Anthony investigated.
Feb. 4 – Officers investigated an injured animal complaint at 103 River Dr. in which two shots were fired to eliminate an injured raccoon. K. Anthony investigated.
Feb. 4 – 934 Anderson Drive Williamston reported a white male left the store without paying for a phone minute card valued at $40. The suspect left in a red car. G. Cremer investigated.
Feb. 6 – Charlene Ellaree Dean, 48, 147 Cherokee Rd., Williamston was arrested for assault and battery after officers responded to 327 E. Carolina Street in reference to a stabbing. According to reports, Claudia Angelena Massey, 48, 312 E. Carolina St., Williamston received a minor cut from a knife after a verbal altercation with Dean became physical. Dean was arrested and transported to ACDC. M. E. Simmons investigated.
