A man died after his Toyota pickup truck was struck by a Chevrolet at the intersection of Highway 153 and Highway 81 on Thursday morning around 4:30 a.m. Pelzer EMS transported the driver of the car to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Powdersville firefighters assisted at the scene. Anderson County Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman along with state troopers investigated. The SC Highway Patrol also called the MAIT (reconstruction team) in to assist. The accident blocked traffic on Hwy. 81 for several hours. (Photo by David Rogers)
