A dedication program was held Sunday for Williamston’s newest street, Brock Lane, located just off Williams Street. As part of the program, an original version of the sign was presented to Rita Brock, widow of Wayne Brock, whom the street was named. Making the presentation were Williamston Town Councilman Ward 3 David Harvell, Ward 4 Councilman Otis Scott, Rita Brock, Mayor Mack Durham, and Ward 2 Councilman Rockey Burgess. A special dedication program was held Sunday for Brock Lane, which is named for a longtime resident Wayne Brock. The new roadway is now the main entrance into the Gatewood Subdivision. Attending the dedication were Rita Brock (center in stripe shirt), family and friends of the Brock family, residents of the subdivision and Williamston Mayor and Councilmembers.
