Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Apr. 19 – Ace Hardware, 29 Pelzer Avenue reported an older black male walked out of the store with a bottle of Roundup valued at $47. The store manager was able to retrieve the merchandise from the man who handed over the item and left in a 1994 Mazda truck. The incident remains under investigation. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Apr. 20 – After being dispatched for a welfare check at 24 Traxler Ave, Williamston officers arrested Mr. Engram (no additional information provided) for an outstanding warrant with Belton Police Department. Engram was a passenger in a truck that pulled up at the residence.

During the same incident, Albert Jason Patterson, 31, 308 E. Hampton Ave #120, Honea Path reported a wallet and cell phone taken from the house. The wallet contained $425 in cash and some prepaid debit cards. K. Anthony, M Crowe investigated.

Apr. 20 – Kristi l. Cox, 38, 200 Driftwood Dr., Anderson was arrested for public disorderly conduct after a black Dodge was observed on Main Street and making an improper lane change at intersection of Anderson Dr. and Hwy. 20. After refusing a SFST testing, she was arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. M. Crowe, K. Anthony investigated.

Apr. 21 – Michael D. Murphy, 43, 8 Gossett St., Williamston was arrested for outstanding warrant after a green Jeep was stopped on Park Drive due to no tag lights. Murphy, a passenger in the vehicle, had outstanding warrant in Florida and Anderson City. He was transported to Anderson Jockey Lot and turned over to an Anderson City police officer. C. Green investigated.

Apr. 21 – William Arnold Clarke, Jr., 33 3 McClellion St., Williamston reported a set of golf clubs valued at $300 taken from his vehicle. Drivers license, credit card and insurance card were also taken.

Apr. 21 – Joel Christobal, 23, 805 Joe Black Road, Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and issued a citation for no drivers license after a white BMW was observed crossing the yellow line and almost striking another vehicle on North Hamilton St. According to reports, a plastic bag with .1 ounce of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was found in the vehicle. A clear plastic bag with unknown white pills was also found in the vehicle. C. Green investigated.

Apr. 22 – Jessica Duncan Webb, 29, 218 Willingham Rd., Belton was issued a summons for operating an uninsured vehicle after a car was observed running the stop sign at Minor St., and Middleton Blvd. M. Crowe investigated.

Apr. 23 – Markez Sinclair, 23, 4837 Wilson St., Moss Point, Mississippi, was arrested for driving under suspension and outstanding warrant after a black Kia was observed doing a U-turn on West Main Street and having no tag light. His Mississippi drivers license was suspended and he had an outstanding warrant in Oconee County. He was arrested and transported halfway where he was transferred to Oconee County. K. Anthony investigated.

Apr. 25 – Don Wayne Brooks, 62, 101 Lee St., Williamston and other residents in the area reported mailboxes stolen. C. Green. M. Beeman investigated.

Apr. 25 – Tiarae Destinee Rhem, 28, 175 Parkwood Drive Spartanburg and Cameron Smith, (no additional information) was issued a summons for operating without a business license after WPD received several complaints of two people going door to door trying to sell a Kirby vacuum cleaner. M. Beeman investigated.
