Pig in the Park Barbecue Festival & Cookoff May 13-14

The annual Pig in the Park Barbecue Festival and Cookoff will be held next Friday and Saturday, May 13-14 in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. Activities will begin on Friday, May 13 at 12 noon and go until 9 p.m. There will be barbecue and food sales, craft vendors and a children’s play area. On Saturday, May 14 activities begining at 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. There will be food sales, craft/sales vendors, children’s play area and Gospel Music all day in the Ampitheatre. Judging of BBQ begins at 10 a.m. Presentation of BBQ Championship Awards will be at 2:30 p.m.

Begining at 11:00 am on Saturday, Williamston Masonic Lodge will be selling wrist bands to sample barbecue for $10. This wrist band will allow you to get a two ounce sample of barbecue from each competitor at their tent and will continue as long as barbecue holds out. No samples will be give out without a wrist band.

Pig in the Park is a Charity Event sponsored by the Williamston Masonic Lodge. Net Proceeds of the Festival will be donated to: Christian Learning Center, Operation Care and Williamston Masonic Lodge.
