Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Gina Dawn Ricks, 42, 502 Garren Road, Belton was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to Payne Drive in reference to a person causing a disturbance. According to reports she was looking in mailboxes, walking in the middle of the road after being advised not to and causing a disturbance. She was arrested and transported to ACDC. A clear rock like substance weighing less than a gram and field tested positive as methamphatamine was found in her pocketbook. C. Green investigated.

May 11 – Evelyn B. Tollison, 66, 110 Gossett Drive #G3 reported a credit card stolen in December and used. Z. T. Parks investigated.

May 11 – Lakrista E. Means 29, 139 Crown Court, Williamston reported a possible burglary. Not additional informaton provided. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

May 12 – Joshua Blake Taylor, 33, 611 Williams St., Williamston reported not receiving a check from a client who stated had mailed it and it was deposited into the bank. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

May 13 – Karmelia Sharnice Johnson, 33, 112 K&M Ct., Belton was arrested for two outstanding bench warrants after WPD was contacted by Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputy who was in contact with her. The outstanding warrants were for driving under suspension and operating an uninsured vehicle. M. E. Simmons investigated.

May 14 – Barry Speer, 24 Dove St., Williamston reported somone entered white Honda Accord and removed a Kenwood stereo, XM satellite radio and two lottery tickets. Total value of items was $200. C. Green investigated.

May 14 – Williamston officers located a suspect with an outstanding warrant with Anderson County after receiving a tip from Oconee County that the man would be arriving at a location on E. Carolina St. After making contact with a subject it was determined to be the suspect, Jaylon Maliek McDaniel, 17, of 137 Camelot Dr., Belton. As he was being arrested he ran and officers pursued him in the area of Washington St. He was apprehended and taken to the police department to await an Anderson County Deputy. C. Green, M. Beeman investigated.

May 14 – Brandy Michelle Lawson, 19, 165 Durbin Creek Rd., Simpsonville was issued a summons for operating an uninsured vehicle after officers observed a blue Hyundai with a broken front windshield traveling east on E. Main. She was issued a UTT and the vehicle was towed. T. Ryan investigated.

May 15 – JP Baxter Morgan, 62, 210 McCullough School Road, Honea Path was issued a summons for operating an uninsured vehicle and altered license plate after a red Chevy truck was observed on Anderson Drive. He was issued a UTT and the vehicle was towed. Family members later produced valid insurance coverage. The officer was going to check with the clerk of court about dismissing the citation. M. May 17 – Preston Lee Gnann, 28, 110 Windfield Hill Rd., Williamston was arrested for theft of motor vehicle parts and driving under suspension after a suspicious vehicle was observed on Glenwood at 2 a.m. The vehicle turned into a driveway and parked with the lights off. A check of the tag came back as stolen. M. Crowe investigated.
