Williamston Police Officers investigated several incidents of theft and vandalism recently including:

May 27 – Francisco Ramon Cruz, 304 N. Hamilton St. reported several power tools missing from the property. Minssing items included a circular saw, jig saw, sawzol and box of screws. The items were valued at $750. R. Drennon investigated.

May 31 – Kimberlin Scott Crump, 202 Strange Ct, Spartanburg, reported items missing from a vehicle parked in Cothran’s Towing yard which had been towed from an accident in Greenville County on May 25.

Missing items included a Springfield .45 Cal. pistol, Barrel, K-frame-Grip and Cylinder from a Colt Dragoon replica, jumper cables, car jack and 2 CD cases. The items were valued at $1520. K. Anthony investigated.

May 31 – Donald Dean Durham 43, 105 Sawteeth Ct., Easley reported a break-in at 203 N. Hamilton St. in which a glass door and window on the back of a building were broken. Insulation found in the house had been reported stolen from 304 N. Hamilton St. last week. Damage was estimated at $200. K. Anthony investigated.

May 31 – James Paul Meares, 53, 26 Dove St., Williamston reported items taken from the back of a truck including a socket set, bag of electrical tools, wrenches and Flutic Multi Meter. The items were valued at $420. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

May 31 – Melisa Kaye Bakley, 51, 17 Edgewood Dr., Williamston reported someone removed a green 21-speed Quasar bicycle valued at $125 from a building in the back yard. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

June 1 – Joshua Brandon Dobson, 24, 168 Green Tree, Anderson was issued a summons for manner of driving and operating an uninsured vehicle after officers were dispatched to a car wreck on West Main St. between Mauldin and Belton Drive/Anderson Highway. Accroding to reports there was minor damage and no injuries. M. Crowe investigated.

June 1 – Antonia Sebastain, 34, 25 Hindman St., Pelzer was issued a summons for manner of driving and no SC drivers license after an officer observed a green Ford pickup run a stop sign at Minor and Middleton Blvd. M. Crowe investigated.

June 3 – John Paul Cranmer, 37, 119 Gray Dr., Williamston reported scratches on a BMW parked in the yard. Damage was estimated at $300. K. Anthony investigated.

June 4 – Lakendara Shavon Dillard, 25, 234A Jenkins Bridge Road, Fountain Inn was arrested for speeding and driving under suspension (3rd) after a vehicle was observed traveling 48 mph in a 35 mph zone on Anderson Street. Dillard was transported to ACDC and the vehicle was released to the registered owner who was a passenger in the vehicle. C. Samuel investigated.

June 5 – Shannon Marie Leeson, 28, 105 Lewis St., Belton was issued a summons for driving under suspension, no proof of insurance, failure to obtain a 45 day plate and a warning for child seat violation after a white Chevy Impala was observed on Hwy. 20 at Belton Drive with an expired dealer paper tag. SC Constable C. Trotter investigated.

June 6 – Francisco Ramon Cruz, 29, 304 N. Hamilton St,. Williamston reported five windows broken in the house which is being remodeled. Damage was estimated at $1350. R. Drennon investigated.

June 6 – Sav-Way, 309 E. Main St., Williamston reported a gas drive-off in which a white lady in a gold or brown van put gas valued at $5.05 in the van and drove off without paying. M. Crowe investigated.
