Williamston police officers investigated the following incidents:

June 14 – Clifford Lee Dove, 27, 217 Tripp St., Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench warrant after Anderson County notified Williamston Police Department that he was in custody. Officer T. L. Eichelberger responded to Walmart on Liberty Highway and transported Dove to detention where he was placed without incident.

June 16 – Dusty Travis Stull, 19, 827 Beech Spring Rd., Pelzer was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, less than one gram, after officers were dispatched in reference to town property being vandalized. Reports stated an Army tank displayed in the Veterans Park was damaged. According to the reports, two males were observed near the park and questioned.

Stull had a straw with methamphetamine in it which was found in a cigarette pack in his back pocket. A small plastic bag was found inside the straw with a crystal like substance resembling meth, which confirmed by a field test. Stull was arrested and transported to the ACDC. The other male was released without charges. R. Drennon investigated.

June 17 – Mickey Lewis Alewine, 41, no address, was arrested for tag on wrong vehicle and driving under suspension after a Ford Ranger was observed with a tag validation sticker that was not legible. The tag was also registered to a Ford F150. He was placed under arrest with two citations and transported to ACDC. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Mrs. Shockley, was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with WPD and was transported to ACDC. K. Anthony investigated.

June 19 – Bunyon Chad McClain, 42, 875 Old Pelzer Rd., Lt. 2 Pelzer was arrested for public drunk, driving under suspension and open container after a white Jeep was observed on West Main St. and at Fast Fuel. Reports state two open BudLight cans were found in the cup holder behind the center console in the vehicle. He was arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. K. Anthony investigated.
