Williamston Police Officers investigated the theft of two pit bull dogs, several incidents involving car tags and recoved a vehicle. Among incidents investigated were the following:

 Aug. 2 – Williamston officers were dispatched in reference to an unknown vehicle parked in a driveway. Thomas Albert Belk, 59, 11 Bruce St., Williamston reported the vehicle, in his driveway. According to reports the tan 1989 Honda Accord belonged to Margaret Helen Feasey of Rutherfordton, NC and had not been reported stolen. The tag on the vehicle however was reported stolen on July 4 by a Belton resident. The vehicle was towed for safe keeping. E. Bonnett, M. Beeman investigated.

Aug. 4 – Francisco A. Morena, 27, 4617 Mendham Dr., Williamston was arrested for no drivers license after a blue truck was observed on Belton Drive with cardboard for a tag. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Aug. 5 – Gina Dawn Ricks, 43, 502B Garren Rd., Belton was arrested for outstanding bench warrant. She waas transported to ACDC without incident. J. Sargent, Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Aug. 5 – Kenngie Quanyan Burts, 21, 19 Randall St., Williamston reported two American Pitbulls taken from his home. One champagne in color is UKC registered. The other is gray and was pregnant. The dogs were valued at $850. M. Crowe investigated.

Aug. 6 – Phillip Marshall Hughey, 28, 2 W 4th St., Williamston was arrested for driving under suspension 2nd offense after a silver Honda Civic with a paper tag was observed on Minor Street. He was transported to ACDC without incident. M. Beeman, E. Bonnett investigated.

Aug. 6 – Sav-Way, 309 East Main St., Williamston reported a gas drive off in which an unknown white male driving a light colored sports utility vehicle paid for $5.50 in gas and pumped $6.67 then left. E. Bonnett investigated.

Aug. 6 – While filling out the previous report at Sav-Way, 309 East Main St., Williamston, the clerk reported that a hispanic male purchased items valued at $19 with a twenty dollar bill that was counterfeit. The bill was seized and placed into evidence. The incident remains under investigation. E. Bonnett investigated.

Aug. 7 – Francisco Ramon Cruz, 29, 304 N. Hamilton St., Williamston reported unknown persons broke into the residence and stole items including a Netgear Wifi Router valued at $125 and a Motorola TV cable box valued at $200. T. Ryan investigated.
