Williamston Police Officers investigated the theft of a truck from a residence and a drive-by shooting in which one man was injured. These and other incidents investigated were reported: Aug. 16 – Ruth Ann Pletcher, 303 Hardy St., Williamston reported her 2015 Chevrolet vandalized. According to reports the right passenger side fender had $1500 damage to it. R. Drennon investigated.

Aug. 16 – Rebecca Jane Galloway, 46, 14 Gray Dr., Williamston reported her 2002 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck missing from her yard. The vehicle was valued at $8000. R. Drennon investigated.

Aug. 16 – Ricky M. Sitton, 30, 101 Bigby St., Williamston was arrested for outstanding warrant for probation violations with Greenville County after officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute at the address.

Aug. 17 – Phoenix of Anderson, 15 Broad St., Williamston reported damage to a door done by a truck trailer (Werner Enterprises) backing into it causing $900 in damage. Z. T. Parks investigated.

Aug. 16 – Paul Chon Maness, 40, 224 Dana Dr., Belton was issued a summons for no sc drivers license and no proof of insurance after a blue Kia Rio with a SC 45 day tag was observed on East Main St. with no working back lights. M. Beeman investigated.

Aug. 20 – Lessie Clinkscales Norris, 65, 309 Mattison St,. Williamston reported Wesley Sloan Jr. was shot while walking down Bigby St. According to reports a black or grey car drove past him and started shooting, striking him in the back of his left leg. Sgt. L. E. Mulz, C. Samuel investigated.

Aug. 21 – Main St. Lube, 211 W. Main St. Williamston reported a money bag and cash from the register amounting to $421 taken. The incident remains under investigation. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Aug. 21 – Employees of Community First Bank, 208 E. Main St., Williamson reported a bucket left near the ATM machine. Upon investigating the bucket contained what appeared to be floor adhesive that had gone bad and had a mole in it. M. Rioberts investigated.

Aug. 22 – John Christian Farmer, Sr., 56, 108 E St., Williamston reported an unknown white male came onto his property and cut down one of his trees and removed a childrens outdoor playset. M. Roberts, Z. T. Parks investigated.

Aug. 22 – Paul David Froman, 55, 3127 Cannon Rd., Greer reported money machines at 211 West Main St. were vandalized. Estimated damage was $4000. Z. T. Parks investigated.
