Firefighters from three departments battle a house fire Tuesday night on Highway 81 near Irby Road. When Piercetown firefighters arrived two minutes after receiving the call flames were coming from the roof of the home. The occupant had made it out of the burning home. Three and Twenty and West Pelzer firefighters assisted in extinguishing the fire. Pelzer EMS also responded to the call. A fire investigator was called to determine the cause of the blaze.
