Supporting Economic Development


Innovate Anderson Vice-Chairman Mike Wooles (First Citizens Bank) presents a $10,000 check to Envision Williamston Board Chair Roxanne Hall. The grant funds will be used for an upcoming economic development “Main Street Challenge” program sponsored by the town’s economic develpment and community vitality program Envision Williamston.

The EW Main Street Challenge is designed to foster economic development by encouraging new businesses to locate in downtown Williamston. Innovate Anderson is a private-public partnership that supports efforts to bring jobs and investment into Anderson County. “The Envision Williamston project is a perfect fit for the mission of Innovate Anderson and we are glad to be asked to participate,” Wooles said “We are very glad to respond.”

Details on the “Main Street Challenge” will be announced in the spring, Envision Williamston Executive Director Sonya Crandall said.
