Williamston Police Report Dec. 20 – 27, 2016

Williamston Police Officers investigated several break-ins and drug related incidents during the week of Christmas. Among incidents investigated were the following:

Dec. 20 – Sherry Ruth Tallent, 53, 31 McAlister St., Williamston reported someone hit her orange 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse while it was in the parking lot of McDonalds, 4 West Main St. Damage was estimated at $500. E. Bonnett investigated.

Dec. 20 – Trenton Lavern Connelly, 75, 1005 Keys Dr., Williamston reported a wedding ring valued at $3500 missing. The item was later recovered from Foothills Pawn Shop where it had been pawned by a suspect identified as Robert Lee Edwards, 49, 216 Corner Rd., Belton. According to reports the suspect was doing odd jobs around the residence. A warrant was issued for his arrest. E. Bonnett, M. Roberts investigated.

Dec. 20 – David William Owens, Jr., 41, 38 Camelia Circle, Williamston reported a brown in color dog jumped a fence and attempted to attack his children who were in their own back yard. A written warning citation for animal running at large was issued to Allie B. Patterson, 25, 10 Gray Dr., Williamston. M. Roberts, E. Bonnett investigated.

Dec. 21 – Sara L. Alexander, 80, 18 Dianne Ave., Pelzer reported a hit and run incident in which womone hit her vehicle while in the parking lot at the Haven of Rest, 59 W. Main St,. Williamston. B. K. Creel investigated.

Dec. 22 – Winston Frank Woodward, Jr., 42, 13 Sunset Ct., Williamston was arrested for outstanding warrant after officers were dispatched to Sav-Way, 309 E. Main St. in reference to a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot for approximately one hour. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Dec. 23 – Officers responded to a domestic incident at 16 Brown Street, Williamston. According to reports, the victim refused to sign a victim’s statement form and informed officers she did not want to press charges against the subject. No arrests were made. M. Roberts, C. Samuel investigated.

Dec. 23 – Charles E. Franklin, 67, 417 Whitt Rd., Piedmont reported a break-in at 408 Tripp St. According to reports forced entry was gained by kicking/pushing a door in. Tools valued at $1430 were reported missing. M. Roberts, C. Samuel investigated.

Dec. 23 – Bobby Edward Blanding, 53, 110 East Carolina St., was arrested for an outstanding warrant with Greenville County Sheriff’s Office after officers were dispatched to 110 East Carolina St., in reference to a fight in progress involving a father and son. London E. Devon Blanding, 24, of the same address was not on the scene when officers arrived but returned and was issued a citation for assault and battery/fighting. M. Roberts, C. Dec. 24 – Alexis Marie Sons, 18, 102 Roosevelt Thompson Rd., Anderson was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with Williamston PD after being observed at the Saluda Quick Stop, 1525 Anderson Dr. Sons voluntarily walked across the street to 1520 Anderson Dr. (in side the city limits), was placed under arrest and transported to ACDC without incident. Dec. 25 – Officers responded to 2 W. Fourth St. in reference to a complaint of someone trespassing in a yard. According to reports Phillip Marshall Hughey, 28, 2 W 4th St. reported a man identified as Phillip Sherman came into his yard on a blue/white color motorcycle and dug up the yard. Upon investigation Hughey’s yard and roadway did not appear to be disturbed. Officers did not observe anyone in the area that fit the description of the Phillip Sherman. M. Roberts, C. Dec. 24 – Clifton Bernard Horton, 59, 39 School St., Williamston reported vandalism to a lock on a storage unit at Williamston Park storage units on Middleton Blvd. According to reports the lock appeared to have been tampered with causing $75 in damage. M. Roberts, C. Samuel investigated.

Dec. 24 – Michael Wayne Holbrooks, 47, 3027 Hwy. 413, Anderson reported someone attempted to break-in to 15 Broad St. by removing a plastic cover from a ventilation fan. There was no damage or signs of forced entry in the area of the fan or elsewhere on the property K. Anthony investigated.

Dec. 27 – Jonathan E. Palmer, 31, 419 Glenwood Ave., Anderson was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after a red color Honda was observed traveling 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on Greenville Dr. According to reports two brown rolling papers with a green leafy like substance believed to be marijuana was found in the arm rest. The two joints weighed approximately 1.2 grams. Palmer was issued a warning for speeding and was arrested for simple possession and transported to ACDC without indicent. J. Sargent investigated.
