KATE MILLIGAN
BELTON – Kate Odet Wright Milligan, 83, widow of Robert W. Milligan, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Ossie Lee Whitsel Wright. She was retired from the Kendall Co. and a member of Columbia Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Robert E. Milligan of the home; daughter, Wanda Smith (Kenneth) of Belton; sister, Ovie Rainey of Greenville; grandchildren, Misty Cisson, Robert Thomas, Shan Milligan, Timmy Thomas, Jennifer Barnes, Alex Thomas; eleven great-grandchildren.
She was the youngest of eleven children and predeceased by a daughter, Debra Thomas; two brothers; seven sisters.
Visitation was from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at Columbia Baptist Church. The funeral service followed at 3 p.m. at the church. Burial was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

LIB OWENS
WILLIAMSTON – Dora Elizabeth Devall Owens, 91, wife of the late David Earl Owens, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her home.
Born in Belton, she was a daughter of the late Reed William Devall, Sr. and Martha Louise James Devall. She was formerly employed with Mt. Vernon Mills from 1947-1966, seventeen years at Williamston Hospital and retired from Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital in 1998. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by son, David William Owens (Pamela) of Williamston; daughters, Mary Faye Pate (Jack) of Iva, Martha Lynn Golden of the home and Kimberly Faye Campbell of Williamston; brother, James C. Devall of Williamston; sister Golden Riddle of Belton; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by daughters, Elizabeth Ann Owen and Tracy Lynn Owens; brother, Reed William Devall, Jr.; sisters, Nell Coker and Ruby Sentell.
Visitation was from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, February 25, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The service followed at 12:00 pm in the mortuary chapel. Burial was at the Williamston Cemetery.

REBECCA DORR
Rebecca Kirk Dorr, 70, of Williamston, wife of the late Waymond Otis Dorr, Jr., died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her home.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Betty McAbee Kirk.
Surviving are two children, Susan Dorr Lail-Pace and Wayne Dorr; one brother, Tommy Kirk; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 24 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

JAMES W. EDMONDS, JR.
James Willard Edmonds, Jr., 78, of Pelzer, widower of Mary Phillips Edmonds, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his home.
Born in Toccoa, GA, he was a son of the late James Willard, Sr. and Teeny Standridge Edmonds.
Survivors include special friend of eighteen years, Betty Brewer of the home; daughters, Connie Hawkins and Glenda Porter, both of Belton; son, Larry Edmonds of Belton; sisters, Frankie Edwards of Greenville and Ida Mae Aldrich of Lavonia, GA; brother, Roy Edmonds of Toccoa, GA; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sunday, February 26, in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

PATRICIA ‘PAT’ ALEWINE MOTES
BELTON – Patricia “Pat” Alewine Motes, 72, wife of Charles Motes, Jr. of Belton, died Monday, February 27, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late David and Ruby Moore Alewine. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: son, Jeffrey Motes (Stephanie) of Williamston; daughter, Julie Beddingfield (Calvin) of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Daniel and David Beddingfield, Macalyn Motes and Emily Beddingfield.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Alewine.

SHIRLEY ANN FINLEY QUINTON
Shirley Ann Finley Quinton, 74, of Williamston, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Lonzo and Alisha Finley.
She is survived by a niece, Lajuan Patton of Piedmont; daughter, Cindy Newton of Wisconsin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Esco; three brothers, Jack Finley of AZ, William Finley of Piedmont, and Bobbie Finley of Williamston; and two sisters, Mildred Sillings of Williamston and Betty McCall of Williamston.
A private memorial will be planned later.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the cancer society.

FRANCES BEATRICE VAUGHN
Frances Beatrice Vaughn, 75, of Simpsonville, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late James Eulis and Onie Beatrice Tollison Pace.
She was retired from Kemet and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Ron Morgan, Bruce Morgan, and Richard Pace; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two husbands, George E. Morgan, Jr., and Gene Vaughn.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 3 at noon at the Cannon Funeral Home Chapel.

ALBERT ARMS, JR.
Albert Arms., Jr., 71, of Pelzer, died Friday, February 24, 2017.
He is survived by four children, Michael, Brian, Angela, and Karen.
Services will be private.

ERSKINE F. COOLEY, SR.
Erskine F. Cooley, Sr., of Piedmont, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017.
Funeral service was held Monday at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Greenville. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy Tyler Harrison, 102, of Greenville, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home.
Born in Salley, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Annie Brown Tyler. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. W. A. Harrison.
Surviving are daughters, Lila Brockman of Greenville, Anne Burke of Greenville, Edith Spurgeon of Mauldin, Ruby Daniels of Piedmont, Rosa E. Mattress of Greenville, and Linda Jackson of Greenville; sons, Wilton “Randy” Harrison of Marietta, Rev. W.O. Harrison, Sr., of Greenville, David Harrison of Mauldin, James Harrison of Greenville, Samuel B. Harrison of Pelzer, Pastor J.B. Harrison, Sr. of Pelzer, Steve Harrison of Pelzer, and Stanley Harrison of Easley; sister, Sam Ella Hay of Salley; 46 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, March 1 at Reedy Fork Missionary Baptist Church, 3115 Fork Shoals Road, Simpsonville, Sc 29680. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mary Cecilia Inman Smith, 76, of Fountain Inn, died Monday, February 27, 2017.
Born in Mermentau, LA, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Auddie Mae Morgan Inman.
She was formerly employed with National Lock and a Baptist.
Survivors include daughters, Portia Tumblin of Pelzer and Angie Davis of Piedmont; son, Bryson Smith of Piedmont; foster daughter, Larcey Barton; sisters, Helen Wardell of Palestine, TX, Daisy Edwards of Jennings, LA, Louise Strother and Betty Leblanc, both of Mermentau, LA; Lorraine Lepretre of Hathaway, LA; brother, Louis Inman of Crowley, LA; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.
The family is at the home of Barry and Angie Davis, 332 Hwy 17, Piedmont.
