School dismissed early due to severe weather threat

Due to the threat of severe weather this afternoon, Anderson School District One has announced that all car riders will be dismissed at 11:45 am and bus riders dismissed at 12:00.
“It appears the most severe weather will impact our schools late this afternoon,” an official said.
All after school programs including GoalPost, YMCA, and sporting events have also been cancelled.
The school district will be posting updates as needed on media sites and sending messages via Blackboard.
Parents are encouraged to stay tuned to TV and/or radio to stay abreast of the weather situations.
