Applications for Facade Improvement Grants are still being accepted! According to Sonya Crandall, Envision Williamston Executive Director, “This is a great opportunity for our local business and property owners to obtain some matching funds to help give their storefront or business establishment a newer, fresher look.”
Eligible applicants include owners of commercial properties and owners/managers of businesses located within the Town of Williamston.
The matching grant funds can be utilized for exterior improvements such as painting, signage, awnings, or even new windows.
The program provides for a one-time reimbursement grant with the amount not to exceed $2,000 with the business owner providing a match of 50%. Example: If the project cost is $2,000, the applicant can be awarded a grant in the amount of $1,000, with the business owner contributing $1,000.
Applications will be accepted through May 31, 2017. The two-page application form can be picked up at Town Hall or downloaded from the Envision Williamston website.
