RONNIE SHAW
Ronald “Ronnie” Dale Shaw, 57, of Pelzer, died Friday, May 19, 2017 at his home.
Born in Anderson, he was a son of William Steele Shaw and James Ann Lindley Coker. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Spartanburg.
Additional survivors include children, Christy Shaw of Pelzer, Brandy Kreft of Simpsonville, Travis Shaw of Pelzer, Kaitlyn Pack of Simpsonville; his significant other, Tina Duncan of the home; siblings, Jimmy Shaw and Terri Cox; and ten grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday, May 23, in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

HOLLY FORNASH
Holly Jean Lyle Fornash, 55, of Pelzer, wife of Greg Fornash, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her home.
Born in Maine, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Lucille Martin Ohina.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Harmony Tersanschi of Miami; sisters, Barbara Ohini and Cindy Pizzo, both of FL; and two grandchildren.
A visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.
SHIRLEY MAE EVANS
Shirley Evans, 79, of Greenville, died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Magnolia Place of Greenville.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie Gambrell and M.E. Leonard Gambrell.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothea Henry of Piedmont; two sons, Russell Evans and Ricky Evans, both of Greenville; one brother, Charles Gambrell of Greenville; one granddaughter raised in the home, Candace Evans and three other grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday, May 19 at Old Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
MARY ANN H. KOEHLER
STAUNTON, VA. – Mary Ann (Howard) Koehler, 54, widow of Donald D. Koehler, of Staunton died Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Charlottesville.
She was born November 27, 1962, in Odessa, Texas, a daughter of Mary E. (Shakleford) Howard and the late George A. Howard.
Ms. Koehler was employed by Walmart and she attended the Salvation Army Church.
Family members include two sons, “DJ” Donald Koehler, Jr. of Oklahoma and Timothy Koehler of Grottoes; a daughter, Stefanie Cormier and her husband Brian of Staunton; a brother, Andrew Howard of South Carolina; a sister, Cynthia Ellison of South Carolina; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Major Mary Kay Herne.
The family will receive friends for one hour following the service.

JOYCE MARTIN ‘JM’ SLATON
Joyce Martin ‘JM’ Slaton, 92, of Pendleton, died Saturday, May 20, 2017.
He was a Veteran of World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was retired owner of Pendleton Lumber Company.
He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Simpson Slaton; four children, Jerry Slaton of Anderson, Peggy Waits of Powdersville, Gwen Fleitstra of Pendleton, Lynn Dunster of Anderson; one brother, Albert Forris Slaton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 23 at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. A private burial followed.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
BOBBY J. PORTER
Bobby Joe Porter, 80, of Anderson, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home.
Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Ollie Bell Porter.
He retired from Jackson Mill in Iva and was a member of Wellington Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Diane Bennett Porter; son, Roger Joe Porter of Anderson; daughter, Patricia Louise Brown of Belton; two step-sons, Rodney Earl Bennett of Anderson and John David Chapman of Powdersville; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 25 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
The family will be at the home of Roger and Darlene Porter, 3505 Woodcone Trail in Anderson.
