JAYNE HICKS

Sandra Jayne McKee Hicks, 56, of Pelzer, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at her home.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Garland Winslow McKee and the late Joan Paige McCombs McKee.

In addition to her father of Anderson, she is survived by brothers, Wayne and Michael McKee of Pelzer.

Funeral service was held Friday, September 8, at Guthrie Grove Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith.  Burial followed at White Plains Baptist Church cemetery.

DEBORAH WOOTEN

Deborah Denise Rice Wooten, 53, of Piedmont, wife of John Gordon Wooten, Sr., died Sunday, September 10, 2017.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late John Murray and Ada Mae Lowe Rice. She worked at Woodmont Middle School and was a member of Bessie Road Independent Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Travis Logan Wooten of the home, John Gordon Wooten, Jr. of Salt Lake City, UT; step-children, Cindy Marie McNeely of Piedmont, Tina Marie Vickers of Gaffney, David Dean Wooten of Greer; sister, Barbara Fowler of Greenville; brothers, Frankie Rice of Pelzer, Jimmy Rice of Greer, Roger Rice of Laurens; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. at Bessie Road Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 4:00 p.m.

The family is at the home.

TRACY YOUNGBLOOD

Tracy Ann Ward Youngblood, 52, of Williamston, wife of Scott Alexander Youngblood, died Thursday, September 7, 2017.

Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Sandra Ann Ward Patton. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Christopher Youngblood of the home; daughter, Brittany Whiteside and her husband, Dustin, of Chesnee; two grandchildren; brother, Ralph Ward Patton of Simpsonville; sisters, Amelia Whitfield of Anderson and Lisa Justus of Orange Park, FL.

Funeral service was held Saturday, September 9, in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

JANE FREEMAN

Mary Jane Freeman, 67, of Piedmont, wife of James Cary Freeman, died September 7, 2017.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Jessie Collins Terry.

She was an elementary school teacher teaching at Concrete and Powdersville Elementary Schools as well as other schools.

She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband Cary, are her sons, David Freeman, Daniel Freeman; sister, Carol Jo Henry; and four grandchildren,

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 10 at Siloam Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

FRANCES BEDDINGFIELD

Frances Jones Beddingfield, 94, of Piedmont, widow of the late Wilbur Ellis Beddingfield, Sr., died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017.

Funeral services were held Sept. 9 at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

MIKE TROTTER

Michael Riley Trotter, 64, of Pelzer, died Saturday, September 9, 2017.

He is survived by his children, Zack and Sallie; and one granddaughter.

Born in Columbia to Jerome B. Trotter III and the late Geraldine Riley Trotter. He was a brother of Meg, JB and the late Ronald.

The family will gather at 11:00 am Thursday, September 14, at Pelzer Presbyterian Church.

SYBIL TRAYNUM

Sybil Fletcher Traynum, 85, of Piedmont, died Saturday, September 9, 2017.

Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Daisy Barton Fletcher. She retired from The Bibb Co. White Horse Plant and was a member of Piedmont First Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter, Joan A. Bates of Taylors; brother, Robert Fletcher of Anderson; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Wednesday in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
