RICHARD A. ROGERS

Richard Anderson Rogers, 54, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at the home.
Born in Anderson, he was a son of Jane Anderson Rogers and the late James Carroll Rogers.  He was self-employed and a member of Williamston First Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by brother, Lee Rogers (Sylvia); sister, Carol Phillips of Williamston; three nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, November 24, at the Williamston First Baptist Church with a memorial service following at 3 p.m.

EDWARD H. PASCOE

PELZER – Edward Hard Pascoe, 91, husband of the late Nettie Josephine Groll Pascoe, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Born in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late William Frederick and Lily Owens Pascoe. He was raised in West Pelzer and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 25th Infantry Division in the Philippines. He married Nettie Groll in June of 1949 and worked at Chrysler in Detroit before later being transferred to the Chrysler Plant in Twinsburg, OH. After retiring, he and wife, Nettie, moved back to Pelzer and enjoyed their retirement with family and friends. He was an Elder Emeritus at Faith Presbyterian, a very active member of the Williamston Lions Club, an avid bird watcher and lover of animals.

He is survived by children, Larry Pascoe (Tammie) of TX, Fred Pascoe (Flora) of SC, Judy Brown (Bob) of OH and Lucy Atkinson (Mike) of OH; daughter-in-law, Nancy Pascoe of OH; sisters, Mary Lou Schumars of SC and Connie Hext of MI; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; caregiver, B.J. Coker.

He was predeceased by sons, John and Edward Pascoe; brothers, Bill and Bud Pascoe.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday, November 20, at Faith Presbyterian Church, Williamston. The service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with burial at the Williamston Cemetery.

   The family will be at the home.

NINA ROYAL

Nina Sue Haslam Royal, 84, of Greenville, wife of the late Robert Edward Royal, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her home.

Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late Harry Edwin and Cordie Ann Byrd Haslam.

She is survived by daughters, Cheryl Miller of Pelzer and Cindi Andrews of Anderson; son, Buck Morrison of Greenville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held  Monday, November 20, at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

EMELDA LOUISE KING

Emelda Louise ‘Lou’ King, of Easley, wife of Louie Bryan King, Jr., died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her home.

Born in Atlanta, GA, daughter to the late Harry Edward Brock, Sr. and Lois Brock, she was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Kerry Neal King of Belton and Richard Bryan King of Blue Ridge; daughter, Pamela Elaine Hawkins of Pelzer; and four grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home.

TILLIE M. BROOKS

Tillie M. Brooks, 88, of Piedmont, widow of Charles Redman Brooks, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at home.

Born in Hayes, KS, she was a daughter of the late Andrew J. Brown and the late Helen Schwasinger Brown. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Conestee.

She is survived by sons, Rick Brooks of Gray Court and Steve Brooks of Fountain Inn; one daughter, Susan Barnett of Piedmont; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

Funeral service was held Friday, November 17 at First Baptist Church of Conestee.

Interment followed on November 18 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

GARY TRUETT

Gary Ray Truett, of Piedmont, died November 18, 2017.

Born in Waynesville, NC, he was the son of the late Paul and Sara Truett.

He was in the trucking industry and attended New Spring Church in Anderson.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Williams Truett; sons, Darren P. Truett of Piedmont, and Steven “Cary” Truett of Williamston; six grandchildren; brothers, Danny Treutt of Roebuck, and Larry Truett of Greer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 21 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. Burial followed in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

WAYNE RICHARDSON

Kenneth “Wayne” Richardson, 62, of Hartwell, GA, died November 17, 2017.

Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late William “Bill” Richardson and Mary Irene Borders Simpson.

He retired from Textiles and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hartwell.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Garrard Richardson; brothers, Dennis Richardson, Barry Richardson, and Robert Richardson, all of Anderson; daughter, Jessica O’Bryant of Pelzer; son, Cory O’Bryant of Pendleton; and daughter, Misty Richardson of Anderson; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 21 in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors in Hartwell, GA.

DON STILLWELL

Charles Donald “Don” Stillwell, 81, of Easley, died Sunday, November 19, 2017.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Charles Nelson Stillwell and Beatrice “Mama Bea” Kelly Stillwell McNeely.

He retired from Duke Power and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church in Taylors. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.

Surviving are his wife of the home, Mildred Jones Stillwell; children, Charles Kelley Stillwell of Easley, Bryan Keith Roach of Williamston, Steven Eugene Roach of Piedmont, Mary Donna Harbach, Beverly Dawn McGee and Cynthia Diane King, all of Easley; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 noon to 1:20 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home Downtown Easley. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville.
