Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
Jan. 16 – Trey Duell Alewine, 28, 5 B St., Williamston reported an unknown subject cut both rear tires of his 1991 Ford truck and the left rear tire of his 2011 Dodge Nitro. Both vehicles were parked in his driveway. Damage was estimated at $750. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
Jan. 16 – Sav-Way, 309 E. Main St., Williamston reported a gas drive off in which a white male pumped $4.04 of unleaded gas into an older silver Acura and drove off without paying. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
Jan. 21 – Officers investigated an incident at 416 Belton Hwy 4A in which Michael Tyler Bridges, 19, 101 C&K Drive, Belton reported that upon entering his apartment, Derrall T. Brown, 39, no fixed address and an unknown female confronted him inside the apartment and then left by the back door. Reports state Brown has outstanding warrants with Anderson County. Officers were unable to locate Brown during a two hour search of the area. The front door handle to the apartment was damaged. Damage was estimated at $35. Officers were to speak to a judge about the incident. L. B. Culbertson investigated.
Jan. 21 – Brandy Lee Shew, 42, 7 Academy Dr., Williamston reported her son Brenden Beattie assaulted her in the parking lot of the Marathon convenience store by attempting to pull her from the car by her arm and neck and also pushed her. R. Drennon investigated.
Jan. 21 – William Andrew Smith, 27, 403 Williams St., Ext, Williamston reported Ronald Thomas Cape, 31, 10 Circle Dr., Fort Mill, flagged him down, yelled at him and then struck him in the lip. According to reports, officers spoke with Cape who stated he did stop Smith but did not strike him. Cape stated he stopped Smith because he was driving at a high rate of speed and was concerned for the safety of the kids living in the area. The information was to be presented to Judge Lollis for a warrant. R. Maxwell investigated.
