Body found in Greenville had last known address in Williamston

The body of a homeless man found behind a Greenville Home Depot store
this morning has been identified as Ronald Eugene Baker, Sr. 56, whose last know address was in Williamston. The Greenville County Coroner said that Baker died of burns and inhalation of combustion products.
Greenville police received a report early Thursday morning that a man was dead in the woods behind the Home Depot store on Woodruff Industrial Lane.
According to the coroner, Baker was living in the woods behind the Home Depot Store and was found lying face down in a campfire with severe burns to his body. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The death has been ruled an accident.
This case is being investigated by the Greenville Police Department and Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
