A fuel tanker truck overturned early Friday morning, spilling aviation fuel onto the road at C and K Drive and Murphy Road in Belton. The incident happened around 5:15 a.m. Friday. Anderson County HazMat and other emergency officials have been on the scene all morning and Murphy Road will be closed for several hours while cleanup continues. According to reports, the driver was not hurt and got out of the truck safely. Belton and Cheddar Fire Departments also responded to the incident. A similar incident happened in December 2017. That tanker also spilled aviation fuel onto the roadway.
