Correction – In the article entitled “Pelzer Mayor says he is looking at options” in this week’s Journal, it was reported that former Pelzer Municipal Clerk Heather Holcombe and her successor Shane Black were “dismissed”.
The article should have stated the both clerks “resigned” their positions.
Holcombe resigned her position with the town in July of 2017. Black was later named to the position of Municipal Clerk. Black held the position until he resigned at the first of the year (2018), before the newly elected Mayor and Pelzer Town Council took office.
