A 21 year old Charlotte man was sentenced to life in prison without parole Monday in connection with the murder of Terry Lollis in Pelzer in 2016.
Dmarrion Gilmore pleaded guilty to murder, attempted murder, kidnapping and armed robbery according to the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s office.
The charges are related to an incident in June of 2016 when Gilmore wrecked his car near the 418 Dance Barn and Gilmore stole the car keys from two men who came to help him. According to reports, Gilmore forced the men into the Dance Barn at gunpoint.
He then attemped to start a vehicle but was unable and returned to the Dance Barn and shot at it.
The gunfire alerted the owner of the Dance Barn who rode a four wheeler ATV from his house next door to see what was going on. Gilmore accosted Lollis and attempted to steal the ATV. He then shot Lollis in the back four times as Lollis attempted to get away. Lollis later died at the hospital.
In addition to the life sentence without possibility of parole, Gilmore was sentenced to an additional 30 years for attempted murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
