Williamston first responders and representatives from the other municipalities are meeting with Anderson County Emergency Preparedness Wednesday to prepare for effects of Hurricane Florence.
Williamston Fire Chief Steve Ellison said his department currently has the areas that they normally keep check on during weather events, but no specific plans as of Wednesday morning.
Hillcrest Baptist Church is a designated evacuee center and accepting relief donations.
Trinity Baptist Church is on standby if needed, Ellison said.
