Two injured when car strikes tree – Cherokee Road

A West Pelzer firefighter examines a car following an accident on Cherokee Road early Friday morning. The car left the roadway and stuck a tree. Both occupants left the scene on foot. Anderson County deputies, firefighters, Medshore Ambulance Service personnel, and Williamston police officers assisted in the search. One person was located at a nearby home and the other more severely injured occupant was found by a Williamston police officer in a ditch. He was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital by LifeFlight helicopter. The other man was transported to AnMed Health by ambulance. (Photo by David Rogers)
