Myrtle Beach man arrested in connection with five area armed robberies

Anderson County Deputies have arrested a Myrtle Beach man in connection with five armed robberies in Anderson County including the Williamston and Powdersville areas.

According to reports, at approximately 3 pm Tuesday (September 25) Anderson County Deputies completed a vehicle stop on Martin Luther King Blvd. in Anderson.
Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Jessie Edwin Holt. Upon further investigation, deputies learned that Holt was the suspect in multiple armed robberies in Anderson County.
On September 12, 2018, Deputies responded to the 7-Eleven located at 2012 Highway 29 N. in Anderson County in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival witnesses advised that a white male entered the store and presented a gun while telling the clerk to “give him all the money”. The suspect then fled the store.
On September 14, 2018, Anderson County Deputies responded to the Burger King located at 3001 Hwy 153 in Piedmont in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival deputies learned that male subject had entered the business and presented a firearm while demanding the register money. The suspect then fled the business.
On September 20, 2018, Deputies responded to the 7-Eleven located at 3705 Highway 81 N. in Anderson County in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival deputies learned that a male subject entered the store with a handgun and took away cash from the register. The suspect then fled the store.
On September 21, 2018, Deputies responded to Exxon located at 4507 Clemson Blvd. in Anderson County in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival deputies learned that a male subject entered the store and presented a handgun while demanding money from the clerk. The suspect further fired a shot at the clerk as he fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
On September 22, 2018, Deputies responded to Subway located at 3630 Highway 81 N. in Anderson County in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival deputies learned that a male subject entered the business and presented a handgun while demanding money. The subject then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
On September 24, 2018, Deputies responded to the Stop A Minute located a 4154 Clemson Blvd. in Anderson County in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival deputies learned that and unknown male entered the business and demanded money. The subject then fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money.
As a result of this investigation, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have arrested and charged Jessie Edwin Holt, 49, of Myrtle Beach, SC. with five counts Armed Robbery, 5 counts Possession of Firearm or Ammunition by convicted felon, Attempted Murder, and Robbery.
Holt is currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center.
