Warrants issued in Pelzer shooting

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has warrants for the arrest of Todd Hampton Wingard in connection with the shooting death of Brady Michael Blymiller in Pelzer last Friday.
Hampton, a 31 year old white male, is being sought on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Last Friday night, at approximately 10 o’clock, ACSO Deputy S.M. Earwood was on patrol in the Pelzer area when he received a report of a shooting at 15 Green Street.
Upon arrival at the scene he encountered several people standing around, and Blymiller lying on the ground with a gunshot wound in the vicinity of his left underarm. Deputy Earwood began CPR after finding a weak pulse. After a short time, according to the incident report filed by Earwood, the victim gave out a loud breath and became unresponsive. He was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he was subsequently declared dead.
Blymiller was twenty three years old, a white male 5’5″ tall, weighing 145 pounds. He resided at 9 McCaughlin Street in Pelzer. Wingard, 5’11″, weighing 158 pounds, has a Donalds, S.C. address.
