DARLINE “DOLLY” JOAN KETZLER

Darline “Dolly” Joan Ketzler, 83, of Pelzer, SC, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Surviving are children, Russell and Dawn Ketzler; granddaughter, Shaylan Ketzler; brother, Lonnie Gardner; and nephew, Gene Lufkin.

She was the wife of the late Vince Ketzler.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

CARLTON HAWKINS

PELZER – Carlton Clarence Hawkins, Sr., 86, husband of Frances Bratcher Hawkins, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018.

He was twice married, first to the late Helen Malinda Coker Hawkins.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Marvin and Jemima Pruitt Hawkins.  He was retired from David N and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church since 1961.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Connie Meece and Michelle Hudson (Robert), all of Pelzer; son, “Butch” Hawkins (Susan) of Williamston; step-son, Randy Bratcher of Anderson; brother, Robert Hawkins of Honea Path; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sister, Patsy Allen and brother, Wesley Hawkins.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 26, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

A graveside service was  held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at White Plains Baptist Church cemetery.

MARGARET SIMS STEPHENS

Margaret Sims Stephens, age 84 of Pelzer, SC passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born August 8, 1934 in Liberty, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie David Moore and the late Ella McGaha Moore. She retired from Milliken with 37 years of service and was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Sims and her late husband, Roy A. Stephens. She is survived by her son, Teddy Sims (Georgia); daughter Terry Starnes (Tommy); four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will be having a private graveside service at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelzer, SC.

RONNIE RHODES

Ronald Fred “Ronnie” Rhodes, 78, of Williamston, husband of Lucille Lusk Henderson Rhodes, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ila Spearman Rhodes. He retired from Milliken and Company and attended Big Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Mike Henderson, Mark Henderson, and Glen Rhodes, all of Pelzer; daughter, Angela Homeister of Simpsonville; sister, Donna Hayes; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held  Friday, October 26 in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

FRANCES FRICKS

Frances Rainey Fricks, 75, of Williamston, wife of Clarence Carroll Fricks, died Sunday, October 28, 2018.

Born in Williamston, she was the daughter of the late Blease and Grace Young Rainey. A homemaker, she was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, and taught for forty-seven years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Teresa Hamlett  of Charleston, Tony Fricks  of Belton, Timmy Fricks of Piedmont, Tonya Bugg  of Simpsonville, and Tiffany Brooks of Belton; brothers, Bill Rainey of Seneca, Wade Rainey of West Pelzer, and Donnie Rainey of Easley; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, October 31, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Pelzer.

The burial will be held on Monday, November 5, at 1:00 p.m. at M. J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

ANGELA DAWN NATIONS

Angela Dawn Nations, 21, of Piedmont, died Wednesday October 24, 2018. Born in Greenville, she is the daughter of Neal and Lisa Nations.

She was a graduate of Wren High School, employed by CVS in Easley, member of White Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother; Landon Nations of Piedmont, four sisters; Tabitha Russell of Williamston, Kristin Heydrich of Piedmont, Brittany Mayben (Troy) of Anderson, Paternal grandparents; Sylvia and Stephen Fishel of Piedmont.

Funeral service was held Sunday October 28, in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

MARGARET KAY GRAHAM

Margaret Kay Graham, 86, of Charlotte, NC died at her home on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

Born in Anderson, she was the widow of Reece B. Graham, also of Anderson. She is survived by her daughter Jane Graham of Charlotte; daughter, Susan Black of Oxford, GA; brother Charles M. Kay of Pelzer.

She was the daughter of the late Carl and Julia Rogers Kay.

Services will be held at the Sullivan-King Mortuary in Anderson on Friday, November 02, 2018 at 11:00am. Private interment to follow at Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
