Ragland to serve as Grand Marshal for Piedmont Christmas Parade

Will Ragland will serve as Grand Marshal of the Piedmont Christmas Parade being held on Dec. 8th at 11 am.  Organized by The Bonnes Amies Club of Piedmont, the parade will begin at Rite Aid on Hwy. 86 and go to the First Baptist Church.
The club has decorated the bridge over the Saluda River with garland and 100 bows.
Ragland serves as the Founding Executive Artistic Director of the Mill Town Players, an award-winning community theater now in its 5th Season in the Historic Pelzer Auditorium.
He was recently elected Vice President of the SC Theatre Association and participated in Leadership Anderson. He has been an active part of the Upstate theater community for over 20 years, as an actor, director, and scenic designer, and has worked on over 100 productions.
He was voted Best of the Upstate Best Local Actor by readers of the Greenville News for the over 3 years, was recognized with Top 20 Under 40 Emerging Leaders by the Anderson Independent Mail, was the winner of the Greenville News 30 Emerging Leaders in the Arts category, is a member of Leadership Greenville Class 41, was Greenville County Schools Teacher of the Year 2012-13, and was recognized with Greenville First Best & Brightest 35 and Under in the Greenville Business Magazine. Will grew up in the Piedmont area attending the Wren schools, graduating from Wren High School in 1996.
“The Piedmont Bonnes Amies Club is honored to have him serve as Grand Marshal of the Piedmont Christmas Parade,” said Parade Chairman Kathy Hand.
Parade entries are now being accepted.  Contact Kathy Hand, Chairman (864-607-2702), Paige Crawford (864-569-4364), or Maxie Freeman (864-845-6372).  Forms are also available at the Piedmont Fire Department.  Entry fee is $15 for individuals and $30 for clubs by December 1st.  Fees increase to $20 and $40 after the deadline.
