ARVIN BOYCE, JR.
Arvin Boyce, Jr.,of Pelzer, husband of the late Mertie Elizabeth Cobb Boyce, died Sunday, December 9, 2018.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Arvin Boyce, Sr. and Ruby Kalonia Austin Boyce. A U.S. Army Air Forces veteran, he served in WWII. He retired from the Kendall Company and was a member of Pelzer First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry Boyce of Belton and Terry Boyce of Williamston; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, December 12, in the chapel of Gray Mortuary. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

ANN TINSLEY
Sylvia Ann Elrod Tinsley, 80, of Anderson, wife of the late James Alton Tinsley, Sr., died on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Pruitt Health Ridgeway.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Albert Wendell Elrod and Gertrude Myers Kay Elrod. She worked as a realtor in real estate. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jim Tinsley of Anderson; daughter, Mitzi Ann Gasque of Anderson; brothers, Terry Elrod, Steve Allen Kay of Belton, and David Lee Kay of Pelzer; sisters, Janice Lowe and Sandra Renee Sharer, both of Anderson; four grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at St. John’s United Methodist Church on Friday, December 14, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at their respective homes.
